Getting to Know Me!

I am who I am. I am smart, witty creative, and sarcastic. I love to make people's jaws drop or their heads shake in wonder.

I am a mother of one terrific young adult who is currently taking a massage therapy course.. He is smart, witty, creative and sarcastic, just like me!

I love to laugh. I am not a follower.
I love to read. I tend to get lost in my imagination when reading. That is my happy place.

I love Facebook. I could make the worlds cheesiest commercials about it. I love my friends and family and I love that I can keep in contact with them via Facebook. I have lived many places and have had the opportunity to meet many friends.

I am a people person, although large crowds are overwhelming, thus the reason I hate last minute xmas shopping.
I don't like to do speeches, but if I had to spontaneously talk in front of a crowd, I could swing it. Pre-planned speeches give you time to freak out about it.

Id love a job that is different everyday. I would not be happy in a cubicle. I'm much adventurous and social to be stuck in a cubicle alone.

I am a great listener and can do it with out forcing my opinion on you. I hate to be shut down.
If you come to me with something that requires my input, all I ask is that my opinion be considered. Whether right or wrong in another person's eyes, it is still in fact my opinion, and it is valid. Show me proof, and I am willing to change mine.

I hate it when people act without common sense. There are consequences to every action we take. Think about what you are doing or saying and exercise self control.

If you treat me with respect, I will do the same.

I am kind, but Im not a push over. It took me a while to find that balance but I can say "no" when I need to.

I have recently lost 110 lbs, and gained a ton of confidence in myself and have allowed myself to open up and start dating an awesome guy. I love all the people who have been my cheering section along the way! You guys have been so special to me.

I love kids. I love their honesty, most adults can learn from them.

I love to people watch. That is the only reason I like to go to a mall. I find most people fascinating and one day I am going write a book about the things I see.
Anyhow, that is me in a nut shell!

HELP!! I Have Writers Block! This Is A Call For Fresh Ideas!

Once again I find myself faced with writers block!  Sometimes I go about my day and something funny or strange will happen, and I think to myself, I should blog about that!  I guess I need to carry a pen and paper with me at all times or at least use the handy dandy memo feature on my phone to jot down my ideas for future reference.  That way, I wouldn't have to sit here staring at the screen, knowing full well that I am way over due for a blog post, without an idea for what to write about!  Its not like nothing ever happens.  There should be something in my day that I can think of.  Yet here I sit, babbling on about drawing a blank!

Maybe I should just open it up. What would you like to hear?  If anyone has a topic for me to write about, please feel free to share it with me. I would welcome your ideas.  Just leave me a comment with your idea. Please, no ridiculously crude ideas though. This is a G-rated blog!

Good Bye My Furry Friend, I Will Miss You Always.

Yesterday we had to say good bye to our beloved family pet, Snoopy.  Snoopy was a great dog. He was very smart and knew quite a few tricks (which I taught him.)  His best trick was to jump up in the air and high five me!  Snoopy was a pretty tolerant dog.  Many times, he would allow me to put some silly hats on him and take his picture. These are a couple of my favourites!
Snoopy was a dog who was very picky with who he liked.  Sometimes it took him a while to warm up to strangers, but when he did, he was very loyal.
He actually belonged to my parents, but I considered him my dog too, since I lived with my parents almost the entire time they owned him.  Snoopy was a pure bread Miniature American Eskimo.  It was amazing how we ended up finding him.  When my mom and dad decided they would like to get a dog, my mom and I looked online at many different dog breeds. We came across his breed and thought it would be nice to have a dog like that.  The only thing is, they weren't looking to spend a huge amount of money to get a dog.  So we looked at a bunch of pet stores and at breeders, etc.  One day after a disappointing visit to a local pet store in Newmarket, On, we decided that we should take a trip to the OSPCA. We went in, looked at a few of the dogs they had, and didn't see any that would be a good fit.  We heard an older puppy barking from a crate beside the help desk.  It was just like he was calling us over to him.  So over to him, we went.  It was love at first sight.  He was just shy of 6 months old, and beautiful.  I think my mom decided right there and then, that this was their dog. It didn't take much for my dad to get on board.  They filled out an application to adopt him.  The fees were significantly less than if they had got him from a breeder, which was a huge bonus!  They had an interview with one of the workers at the OSPCA who made the decision to allow my parents to adopt him based on the fact that they didn't have any small children.  Snoopy had a previous incident with the baby of the previous owners.  He nipped at the baby because the baby hurt him. The result was the owner kicking him and hurting him and taking him to the OSPCA. He always had a spot on his backside that he was protective of the entire time my parents owned him.  It caused him to be very cautious of who he allowed near him, but over all, he was a dog that was eager to please.

There was a time that I was going through a seriously tough situation.  Snoopy wasn't they type of dog that would climb up into the bed beside you. He much preferred the coolness of the floor, but when I was going through that situation, Snoopy would climb up on my bed and comfort me.  When I went through times of loneliness, he was a constant friend.

My son had his own special bond with Snoopy.  Snoopy was super protective of Justin and would quite often bark like crazy whenever certain friends came into the house.  Justin helped fill in with walking him and feeding him when when my parents were not home.

Whenever my parents went away, which was a lot, most of the time Snoopy would stay with me.   I usually ended up having to sleep with him in my parents room because he would pace the floor all night and wouldn't settle with them gone.  Whenever they came home, he got so excited and would run around outside like crazy, so happy to see them come home.  He did that when any of us were gone.  We would always get a special Snoopy greeting when we arrived home.

Snoopy was initially intended to be my mom's dog, but ended up choosing my dad as his main master.  My dad was the one who walked him the most and fed him the most.  He went everywhere with my dad.  He even would sit under his feet when my dad was watching television, or at the entrance of the computer room door whenever my dad was on the computer.  When it was just my mom there, he would do the same with her, but after a while, he would start looking for my dad.  He would actually watch out the kitchen window for his vehicle to come back and if my dad was outside without him, he would cry to go out too.

Snoopy had a special routine whenever the train would pass through town. Him and the neighbours dogs would howl and sing to the tune of the train. It was always entertaining because Snoopy had the saddest howl.  Almost like he had laryngitis. Snoopy Video  I captured him on video.

Snoopy was a very special member of my family and I will miss him very much.  His death was tragic and untimely, but he will live forever in our hearts.  Good bye my little friend. I hope you knew how much you were loved by everyone.
